audreypenven: about
audrey penven
[bio]I take photographs. Sometimes I manipulate them physically, before or after processing. Sometimes they are the result of a conceptual game involving arbitrary rules. Sometimes I use old techniques like the collodion wet plate process. Though I occasionally work in digital, my heart remains with film. I enjoy the unplanned effects of working with art in the physical world. Fragments of time turned into objects. They take up space, accumulate damage, have their own history. Imperfection is beautiful.
